Exotics

Although there may be many options for the care of your cats or dogs while you are away, it may be difficult to find friends, relatives, or pet sitting services to care for pets that are more exotic.

Peter’s Pets is pleased to offer care for exotic pets such as:

• Birds (parrots, canaries, parakeets, cockatiels, and others)
• Reptiles (lizards, turtles, snakes, and others)
• Small Mammals (rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, mice, gerbils, and others)

We understand that caring for exotic pets can be quite involved and require very detailed instructions. Because of this, we ensure that our pet sitters who care for these pets are familiar with their particular needs. And, prior to providing any pet sitting services, your pet sitter will meet with you.  This meeting allows you and your pet sitter to get to know one another, and gives you the chance to provide exact details for the care of your exotic pet.

If it’s possible for you to move your pet and its cage out of your home, our pet sitters are able to welcome your exotic pets into their home.  If moving your pet isn’t an option, or if you’re concerned that moving to an unfamiliar environment may be stressful for your pet, our sitters are able visit your pet in your home.  Either way, we will provide your pets with the same high level of care that you provide for them.
